Mr Daniels trained in London, Basingstoke and Oxford and started work in 2006 in Devon. The majority of his practice is specially delivered care in colorectal disease, complications of surgery and reconstruction following intra-abdominal complications and patients with recurrent and/or locally advanced bowel cancer. He also has other interests in academic surgery and co-leads the Exeter Surgical Health Services Research Unit. Through the work that they do, both research and live surgical workshop training he has developed a national and international reputation for abdominal wall reconstructive surgery. He leads a multidisciplinary team that specialises in complex cases and their data is used as part of international registries and published in many fora.
