Mr Jeremy Diamond is a consultant ophthalmologist who has practised at the Bristol Eye Hospital for over 20 years as a glaucoma specialist. He also practices privately at Spire Bristol and Clifton Park Hospitals. His practice is generally split between managing glaucoma and cataract. He has a particular clinical interest in complex cataract surgery, and in complex Adult and Paediatric Glaucoma Surgery. He is a highly experienced surgeon, having performed more than 15,000 cataract and glaucoma surgeries. At present he is one of the busiest cataract surgeons in the South West region, having performed almost 1000 cataract surgeries in the last year. Mr Diamond offers the very highest standard of care to his patients and aims to ensure they are happy with their treatment. He takes the time to consider all treatment options before operating. Mr Diamond studied medicine at the University of Bristol, graduating in 1984. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 1990. He also completed a Ph.D. in 1994 at the University of Bristol Department of Ophthalmology, following his studies of the biochemistry of eye infection. In 1995 he did a Clinical Fellowship in Perth in Australia, working with specialists in glaucoma and corneal surgery.
