Mr John McLoughlin is an expert in urological surgery and has been working as a consultant for 25 years. His current NHS post is at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds. His specialism is in urological oncology and his specialist interests are prostate disease, including prostate cancer, penile disorders, penile surgery, vasectomy reversal

Mr McLoughlin completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at St Mary's Hospital, London in 1983. He attained a Master of Surgery in London in 1993 and undertook further training in general surgery, urology and renal transplantation in London and Bristol, becoming a consultant in 1994. He has extensive clinical experience and education making him an expert in his field.

In addition, he has the professional bodies Fellow Royal College of Surgeons 2017 and Member British Association of Urological Surgeons 2017. He has previously been awarded the Bronze National Clinical Excellence Award and offers courses to GPs about general urology, prostate disease and vasectomy reversal. Mr Loughlin has also published many peer-reviewed journals since 1990 about his interests and clinical expertise.
