I found Mr Conroy to be very knowledgeable & professional. Before my procedure he was very helpful in explaining everything that was available to me and the choices I had. Afterwards he came to see me twice asking how things were and again helpful in putting my mind at rest explaining how things were and what to expect in the early days and what I could expect with my recovery. I would highly recommend the services Mr Conroy.

I had my left hip replacement in March 2019 . It has changed my life . Mr Conroys dedication and expertise is nothing more than amazing. Thankyou so much for everything including the after care and for the gym suggestion and advice after my 6week check up. This really helped me mentally and physically. I will always be in your debt. I found the whole experience to be very professional a with a high degree of care and empathy for any questions i raised pre surgery. This gave me confidence to proceed with surgery, which went very smoothly. Whilst Jon led, the preassessment team, theatre and ward team were excellent and provided excellent care and support. I did my research prior to surgery and it was clear Jon is at the leading edge of hip replacement surgery, which I found proven from my experience. I can not recommend Jon enough.

Mr Conroy clearly explained the procedure after reviewing the MRI scan, as well as the follow up physiotherapy that would be required. I had an epidural, which again was clearly explained, and made recovery from the operation easier. The hospital (Duchy at Harrogate) was good and staff were very helpful. The operation went totally as planned, and I was off crutches after a few weeks. From not being able to run, I started running after about three months post op, and I am now running four times a week without any issues at all. I will be running a half marathon this year. I had stem cell treatment to help the repair, and whilst it cannot be confirmed if this has worked, the results speak for themselves. The post-op physiotherapy was intense and lasted about three months in total - but you must do it. I have continued with some of the strengthening exercises I started during physio, and think this helps to alleviate any problems.
