Mr Julian Norman-Taylor is a Consultant Gynaecologist. Being raised and educated in West London saw him spend most of his career living and working in the area. Early in his career he was fortunate enough to work at Hammersmith Hospital with Professor Winston, in the pioneering days of IVF and fertility treatment. This was where an interest in reproductive medicine first developed.
Later in his career, he would spend periods of time in the East End at the Royal London Hospital and one of his claims to fame is East London’s first successful ovum donation pregnancy. He has also had sabbaticals in Paris and in Hong Kong where he was part of the team that created Hong Kong’s first pregnancy with ICSI. His degree in medicine is from Leicester University and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
On account of his medical expertise, in 1997 Mr Norman-Taylor became medical director of the Chiltern Hospital Fertility Unit, which has established itself as the leading centre offering fertility treatment in Buckinghamshire. This clinic has now moved to The Spire Clinic in Windsor. Since 1999, he has been working alongside the team at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital as a consultant gynaecologist, practicing both in reproductive medicine and general gynaecology.
