Mr Jwalant Mehta completed his undergraduate studies in India at the GS Medical College in 1989. He then completed his Master's in Orthopaedic Surgery from Mumbai University in 1992 and was conferred the Gold Medal for D (Orth) by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was on the Orthopaedic Surgery Higher Surgical training programme in the South East Thames Deanery and was conferred the MCh (Orthopaedics) from the University of Liverpool in 1998 and the orthopaedic surgery fellowship (FRCS) in 2001. He also completed fellowships in Bristol and Columbia, Missouri, USA.
Mr Mehta deals with complex spinal problems as part of the Spinal Deformity team, including various pathologies in children, adolescents, adults and elderly people. His broad expertise covers the entire spectrum of spinal conditions, including degenerative conditions of the neck and the low back and deformity of the spine in all ages. He is also involved in research and has published extensively in journals.
Mr Mehta runs the Edgbaston Spine Clinic and consults at BMI The Edgbaston Hospital and at BMI The Priory Hospital by appointment.
