Mr Ken Anson is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Reader in Urology at St. George's Hospital, London. He is the clinical lead for the Endourology Unit and runs the South West London Urinary Stone Network. He is a high volume surgeon performing over 250 ureteric or renal endoscopic procedures per year.
He is furthermore a busy full-time NHS Consultant and is also Chairman of the Division of Surgery, Anaesthetics, Theatres, Cancer and Neurosciences at St George's. He has recently been elected Vice Chairman of the British Association of Urological Surgeon's Section of Endourology having served as Secretary for the previous 3 years. He is an Examiner for The Royal College of Surgeon's Intercollegiate Board for FRCS Urol and also Chairs the Postgraduate course at the European Association of Urology on Interventional Therapies in BPH.
Mr Anson is a keen teacher and is a regular faculty member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons skills courses in rigid and flexible upper tract endoscopy. He spends his spare time with his family and he likes to fly fish for salmon, walk his flat-coated retriever, sail, ski and sleep.
