Kieran is a physiotherapist, nutritional therapist and exercise specialist who has a passion for treating chronic pain conditions and restoring his patients back to what they do best.
He has worked in the health, exercise and rehabilitation industry since 2004, where he started as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist, working mainly with golfers and back pain. Since then he has gone on to obtain degrees in both physiotherapy and nutritional therapy, as well as advanced studies in holistic lifestyle management and corrective and high-performance exercise, and so enabling him to work with a wide range of patients suffering with acute and chronic conditions.
Kieran has been published, and continues to publish, in scientific journals on chronic pain, while also presenting regularly to health care professionals on a diverse range of topics and undertakes scientific reviews for educational institutions, private clinics and individuals. These have varied from the role of inflammation to the development of trigger points and the manipulation of acute exercise variables on health, function and performance. Kieran's published work includes “The limbic system and chronic musculoskeletal pain”, and “Is there a hierarchy of survival reflexes”. He is currently studying for an MSc in Orthopaedic Medicine and a PhD in nutrition and spinal pain.
