Mr Kim Hakin is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon and an Ophthalmic Expert Witness, providing medicolegal advice. He has a special interest in cataract, eyelid and cosmetic surgery. He obtained his medical degree from the University of London before beginning his training at Southampton Eye Hospital and the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Mr Hakin is actively involved in overseas volunteer programmes, working with charities such as Orbis and Surgical Eye Expedition. Mr Hakin travels once or twice a year to operate and train doctors in developing countries. He is also responsible for the training of other ophthalmic surgeons. Mr Hakin has published over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals, two book chapters and has presented at over 20 scientific meetings.
