Having qualified in 1972, Dr Makarand Oak is a highly qualified and experienced consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. Dr Oak is dedicated to continuing his professional development and has received further qualifications and training to keep up to date with the most modern techniques and procedures.
Dr Oak has particular experience and a special interest in gynaecological hormone disorders (endocrinology), pelvic pain and pelvic floor surgery, endometriosis, infertility, benign gynaecological surgery, minimal access surgery and the reversal of sterilisation.
He has undertaken numerous research and audit projects and has published over 20 articles and papers in national and international peer-reviewed medical research journals. Owing to his extensive medical expertise, Mr Oak has also presented at international conferences on numerous occasions.
Dr Oak has always taken a strong interest in teaching and has regularly provided education to GPs throughout his career. He supports various charities as well as the charitable work of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.
