Mr Mark Thomas graduated from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1991. Following that, he completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery via his North West Thames rotation and undertook a fellowship in spinal surgery and trauma in Toronto, Canada.
Mr Thomas was appointed as a consultant at Frimley Park Hospital in 2002.
His specialist interest is in spinal surgery. He is very passionate and involved in developing and expanding spinal services in the area. Additionally, he is a fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the Spine Society of Europe.
He is married to Alison, a local GP, and has two children now both at university.

Was very nice made me at ease explained scans etc & examined my back & movements, had said he would discuss at the specialist 2 weekly meeting and would call to go through conclusions so just waiting for that . He was much nicer than a lot of doctors definitely a people person and catering .

He will talk everything though and explains everything and sometimes in my case twice so I understand what he is going to do he is very approachable I would recommend him for kindness and a very good surgeon

After 15 years of being in pain thinking I had Sciatica and just being given Pain killers by my GP I joined Bupa i was sent to a practice in Guildford two injection and a scan I was told Nothing wrong I was then referrred to mark Who gave me another scan he identified straight away i had a spur on my Cox's after a quick operation i was pain free i can not speak Highly enough of mr Thomas

I cannot speak highly enough for the treatment received from Mr Thomas. I was in such pain prior to my operation I cannot describe what it was like. As soon as the operation was over I was instantly out of pain. I cannot thank him enough. If more orthopaedic surgery was necessary I would not hesitate to return to him for treatment.
