Mr Martin Bircher is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Surrey who specialises in hip, knee and foot surgery.
Martin Bircher has now retired from St George's Major Trauma Centre in South London but now works in private practice at Ashtead Hospital. His specialist interests include all aspects of trauma surgery and sports injury. He is a world recognised expert in pelvic and acetabular surgery. His elective interests include hip and knee replacements, knee surgery in general and foot and ankle problems. He is a council member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England(lead councillor for emergency surgery)
Mr Bircher has published over 70 major peer-reviewed publications. His research reflects his experience with major trauma, pelvic surgery, medical negligence and general orthopaedics.
