Mr Martin Leyland studied at Manchester University where he was awarded for the highest academic marks over six years of study. He went on to complete his surgical training at the Western Eye Hospital and the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he also established his subspeciality - corneal, cataract, and external eye disease.  

Mr Leyland is now the senior corneal and anterior segment specialist at The Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading Hospital, and the Oxford Eye Hospital. He is also a Consultant Clinical Supervisor for post-graduate ophthalmology student at Oxford University. 

Mr Leyland is highly qualified and had a special interest in cataract surgery.
