Mr Martyn Barnes is a consultant Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon with an NHS practice in Southend hospital. Mr Barnes completed his basic medical training at St Bartholomew's hospital and achieved an MSc in Evidence-Based medicine at Oxford University and an MD in respiratory airway disease from Dundee University.
Mr Barnes trained as an ENT surgeon in Scotland before undertaking two sub-specialist fellowships in Auckland and Amsterdam in Advanced Sinonasal and Skullbase Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery respectively.
Mr Barnes is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Chairman of SurgTech (non-profit surgical education), a keen educator and a regular contributor to international conferences in his speciality.
Mr Barnes has particular experience in sinus, nasal airway, and lacrimal (tear duct) disorders.
