Matt is talented physiotherapist working in the London area. He graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2004 and spent his early years working in the NHS. With a vision of working within the professional sporting industry, ignited by his passion for rugby. From here he moved to New Zealand and was a clinic manager and Senior Physiotherapist for private clinics in both Christchurch and Auckland.
His work primarily involves providing physiotherapy and gym based rehabilitation to post surgical patients – specialising in lower back, knees and shoulders. During this time he has worked in a variety of sports including: Super and Premier Rugby, Samoa Sevens, Samoa under 20’s, National League Basketball, AFL, rowing, Multi-sports and Ironman. Matt was made the principle physiotherapist for Manu Samoa, including during the Pacific Nations Cup win in 2010, Autumn Internationals and Rugby World Cup 2011. After this Matt returned to the UK and joined the London Irish Rugby Club as their senior physiotherapist.
Matt is a manual therapist and a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), but alongside this, is focused heavily on regaining strength and function to return people to their activities or sport as soon as feasibly possible. Matt's extensive experience working with a plethora of different athletes means he is able to provide the best standard of care for an array of sporting injuries.
