Mr Matthew Parsons is a consultant gynaecologist based at Birmingham Women's Hospital in Edgbaston. He has broad interests and sees patients with a wide range of problems including heavy or painful periods and abdominal pain. He runs three weekly gynaecology clinics and treats symptoms such as ovarian cysts, uterine polyps, and vaginal discharge.

Mr Parsons gained his medical qualification in 1993 from the University of Bristol. In 2003, he earned his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in obstetrics and gynaecology from the North Thames Deanery. His interest in urogynaecology developed whilst he was a senior house officer at King's College Hospital. Following his CCST, he undertook specialist training under one of the world's most renowned experts in pelvic floor assessment and treatment.
He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
