Cosmetic surgery is something I scoffed at for sometime. I had a very prominent jaw and chin, when I was younger, no problem; it worked. As an older woman I had a very sharp witchy look about me and I felt I intimidated other women, and it aged me, which affected my relationships with men. I kicked the idea around for about 18 months and would suggest anyone did the same. I called many plastic surgery clinics. Mr Manisali’s name was recommended to me, so when I made my first inquiries, it was him I contacted. He’s really kind, sympathetic, lovely to deal with and ultimately professional. Our first meeting ended in a scan so he could see what was going on as it wasn’t clear at first glance. I walked away unsure if anything could be done, but then he called me. From then on I felt as if he considered me a patient. Not a vain older woman trying to recapture her youth but someone who had been dealt a bit of a curved ball, and that he could help. We had so many meetings, he gave me so much of his time. I was really surprised how generous he was. We went over the whole process many times, my daughter attended the meetings, we had a planning meeting involving a technical report; I now know what my skull looks like in great detail. Importantly, at no point was I pushed or persuaded. I could have walked away at any point and he would have been comfortable with that if it was right for me. I wanted to proceed. In fact I was delighted, I felt I had a problem that had bothered me my whole life and after 48 years the solution was sitting infront of me. The relieve was overwhelming, I didn’t realise how much it bothered me. The operation day came. I was first on his list that day. I was nervous but it all went fine and I went home the next day. There was almost no bruising at all. I was swollen but not too bad. Two weeks later I went back to work but I would say rest is the key!! My teeth felt very sensitive after the operation so watch out for that, but even weeks after the operation my jaw looked better. That was last September, it’s now April and I’m over the moon, delighted, with my new look. My very sceptical family are also delighted. My sister said ‘it does look different but you’re still you’ and my daughter commented on what a good job Mr Manisali did. He understands that you need to be yourself and any adjustment he makes fits with the whole composition of your face. I find now that my interactions with others are improved. I look younger, not really intentionally, and I feel normal, as if I fit in, instead of having a misshapen chin. I feel as if I was dismissed at first glance before. My face is more likeable, warmer. To conclude, I wish I’d done this sooner. It’s a huge decision to change your appearance in this way and you make that decision everyday you go through the process. I’m not sure I would have felt confident enough to proceed with anyone other than Mr Manisali. It’s a risk, and your only opportunity to manage that risk is through your choice of surgeon. I'm very happy with choosing Dr Manisali and would recommend others without hesitation. He is calm, soft spoken and highly knowledgable-and-skilled in his craft with a friendly demeanour. Throughout, it felt like he was very interested in providing me with the best care and result possible.

I had an initial consultation with Dr Manisali in August 2023 where I explained what I was looking for and the concerns I had with my appearance. It was mostly around face asymmetry, weak chin, and jawline. I was very anxious/nervous going into the consultation but the very first moment I met Dr Manisali, his friendly yet professional demeanor put me at ease instantly. Dr Manisali was very patient and thorough in understanding my primary concerns. He did not rush into any decision and explained what problems should be tackled first and some were not as bad as I had thought which again increased my confidence in him as it meant he was not just trying to push every possible procedure just for the sake of money. This was done over multiple consultations to allow me to have some time to think over the discussions we would have. He recommended an X-ray to take a better look at the face structure and once the X-rays were ready, after that he advised Genioplasty to deal with the weak chin and also explained that it would help with face projection, a little bit with jawline as well. He was articulate in explaining the benefits and why it's a better option than fillers or implants. After that, he did a detailed planning with a CT scan around how much the chin should be moved forward, where the cut would be made so that there's no nerve damage and an idea about how the changes would look after 6mm or 8mm change. Absolute great stuff. We agreed on the operation dates after this. He met with me a week before the operation date once again to check if I was still up for it and assured me that I wouldn't be charged if I were to back out. I went ahead with the procedure but again this tells you how much he cares about the patients. On operation day - Dr Mansiali came to meet me 2-3 hours before the operation to discuss the plan again just to make sure everything was clear to me. After that, The operation went smoothly - he took pictures to show me before the swelling started. It's a bit hard to explain here but I looked a lot better but was still myself. I was delighted with my results. I was absolutely delighted with the results. He took time to explain the post-surgery care steps and gave me his personal number to reach out to him anytime in case I had a question or had any problem. We met a week after the operation where he made sure everything was okay and then again after 4 weeks to check the almost final state as the swelling had gone by then. I can't stress this enough but I would highly highly recommend Dr Manisali if you are looking for someone who's at the top in his field, highly skilled, professional yet friendly to make yourself feel at home.

Prepared me well for my genioplasty and my result was better than expected

Thanks to his extensive expertise and attention to detail, I always felt completely reassured and at ease that Mr Manisali and I were on the same page. He prepared for my rhinoplasty with a focus on ensuring my natural facial balance was maintained, and he was so generous with his time, encouraging me to ask any and all questions I had. I then had an incredibly positive surgery experience, with minimal pain and swelling.
