Mr Michael Savvas is a consultant gynaecologist at King’s College Hospital, London. He completed his training at the London Hospital where he developed a specialist interest in reproductive endocrinology during the time he spent as Research Fellow to Professor John Studd.
Mr Savvas has further developed his specialist interests in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), HRT, PMS, menopause, colposcopy and menstrual disorders.
Mr Savvas has extensive experience in the field of assisted conception and is a clinical lead for this service at King’s College Hospital. Privately, Mr Savvas provides a comprehensive fertility service at the Poundbury Fertility Clinic with his colleague Mr Dooley.
Mr Savvas is highly active in the field of research and publishes extensively in the fields of menopause, infertility and PMS, as well as colposcopy.
He is a BSCCP accredited colposcopist.
Mr Savvas is a former President of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is also a member of the British Menopause Society (BMS) and has been a member of its Medical Advisory Committee. He co-authored the BMS guidelines on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
