Mr Muhammad Shahid is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, which now make part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. With a medical career spanning over 20 years, Mr Shahid is a fellowship-trained surgeon and has a special interest in foot and ankle surgery, lower limb surgery including total hip and total knee replacement and knee arthroscopy.

A proponent of medical research, Mr Shahid has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. On account of of his belief in teaching, he takes keen interest in sharing his knowledge and experience and is a faculty on various postgraduate orthopaedic courses. Mr Shahid takes a further interest in clinical governance and conducts regular audit and research projects. To this extent, he has produced a number of audit and research papers.

In his personal life, Mr Shahid is married with children and lives in Essex and is a dedicated community worker and has organised a number of social integration events in the local community.
