Plastic Surgeon
London, W1G 6AA
Nick Parkhouse has a special interest in the aesthetic/cosmetic surgery of the face, breasts, abdomen and trunk together with non-surgical injection and laser treatments for specific problems. He also has a special interest on the treatment of scarring disfigurement.
Nick Parkhouse is an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon. He specialises in the treatment of scarring disfigurement and is often asked to perform revision procedures for patients who have had suffered from poor surgery procedures elsewhere. He believes in patient-centred care and creating carefully thought out treatment plans that minimise risk to individuals. He aims to enhance a natural appearance and excels at creating an ‘unoperated' look. This applies to the cosmetic removal of small moles and skin blemishes as well as to more extensive face or body surgery.
Mr Parkhouse trained at Oriel College, Oxford and the Middlesex Hospital and carried out research into wound healing for which he was awarded a Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1990. He has since held NHS Consultant posts at both the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and at Mount Vernon.
Outside of his clinical hours, Mr Parkhouse has enjoyed a post as Editor of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery from 1997 to 2002 and is also a keen pilot of aeroplanes and helicopters.
