Mr Nick Kenny graduated medicine at the University of Manchester in 1983. Following that, he undertook his basic medical training in North West of England, followed by his speciality training in orthopaedic surgery where he also trained in British Columbia Children's Hospital in Vancouver and two major trauma centres in Germany - Essen and Stuttgart. He has been working at The Alexandra Hospital for 17 years and is the current Orthopaedic representative of The Alexandra Hospital Medical Advisory Committee. He is also the immediate past Clinical Director of The Directorate of Orthopaedics at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Nick is particularly interested in the management of upper and lower limb soft tissue injuries and fractures, osteoarthritis of the hip and knee and arthroscopic and ligament reconstructive surgery of the knee. Additionally, he enjoys looking after recreational athletes. He regularly updates his knowledge and techniques by attending trauma courses each winter in Davos, Switzerland.
He enjoys climbing mountains and frequently visits the European alps in both the summer and winter months.
Primary Medical Qualification
