Mr. Vasdev, was very professional in his approach to my diagnosis, treatment and recovery, taking the time to provide sufficiently detailed explanation of the proposed treatments, as well as during the treatment and recovery. This provided me with a good understanding of the treatments and a realistic view of the outcomes. His realistic and reassuring manner built and maintained my confidence and allowed me to have a positive approach and recovery. The outcomes and the recovery met and exceeded my expectations. This has allowed me to fully return to work within a short period of time. Of equal importance, it has allowed me to continue with my active involvement with my family. I am unable to fully express in words my appreciation for the care and treatment I have received from Mr Vasdev and the competent team who made all of this possible. But a heart felt thank you to everyone at Pinehill and Lister. You have given me back my quality of life and extended my horizons.

I was flagged by local GP to investigate PSA Blood Test Results and was referred by AXA PPP to Prostate Diagnosis Pathway Process managed by Check4Cancer Group. Check4Cancer Group arranged for me to have Multiparametric MRI Scan at One Hatfield Hospital on 11th October 2019. Check4Cancer Group also arranged appointment with Mr Nikhil Vasdev that same day in the evening at Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin to review results of MRI Scan. My wife and son accompanied to the evening appointment with Mr Nikhil Vasdev as we as a family were anxious about results from MRI Scan. As soon as we walked in the room Nikhil reassured me and my family that the scan showed no signs of Prostate Cancer and that I had an enlarged prostate which was a huge relief. He prescribed Finasteride medication to help reduce the size of my prostate and wrote letter to my Local GP to action. He also arranged a follow-up PSA Blood Test and appointment to review results with him on 20th December. There was no change in PSA Level and no reaction to medication. Nikhil advised I had a further PSA Blood Test in 6 months time which he would communicate with local GP. If there was any significant change then I could make a further appointment to see him. Nikhil's manner was exceptional in the speed to turn around my MRI Scan results on the same day and the calming manner he explained the results and further treatment. He took time to explain to me and my family during consultancy appointments, nothing was rushed. I am truly grateful of the treatment I received from Nikhil and would not hesitate to recommend him to people going through a similar experience that I had.

On meeting Mr Vasdev for the first time I was reassured and comforted by his professionalism and obvious knowledge of the procedure I was having to undergo. He explained the operation and possible consequences thoroughly. He was very honest , nothing was sugar coated but he was very reassuring at the same time. Both pre and post surgery I was kept up to date at all times. Any fears and questions I had were answered. Mr Vasdev's team were equally professional and reassuring - I felt in safe hands at all times . For any man having to go through the same procedure as myself, I would have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Mr Vasdev. His experience, knowledge and dedication in this field is second to none. Just 10 weeks after my major surgery I met with Mr Vasdev and he was able to give me the best possible news I could have wanted that my cancer is now undetectable. I will be eternally grateful to Mr Vasdev .

I first consulted with Mr Vasdev after a diagnosis of Bladder Cancer and from the start Mr Vasdev explained exactly what treatment was my best option in a manner that gave me confidence and went a long way in dispelling my anxieties about the situation I found myself in. I undertook a robotic cystoprostatectomy at Lister Hospital under his hands and my recovery after such a major operation was amazingly good and in itself, in my opinion, an endorsement of his highly developed skills in his surgical field. His contacts with me post operationally have always been informative and attentive. I am very happy to continue my follow up treatment under the guidance of Mr Vasdev in the knowledge that my well-being is important to him and his judgements will be in my very best interest.

I was diagnosed with Gleason 3 + 3 prostate cancer back in early 2016. Mr Vasdev informed me about the options at that time and I had both biopsies and MRI scans. I decided to continue with regular reviews punctuated by periodic PSA tests. The tests showed a gradually rising trend and it was agreed that eventually I would need to decide on a course of active treatment, whether radiotherapy, braccial seed treatment or a full prostatectomy. Time passed and the rate of change was steady until last year (2018) when it began to accelerate and Mr Vasdev counselled that a decision to go for treatment was now important. I decided to go ahead with a radical prostatectomy and was operated on in March 2019. It went well and I am only sorry that I didn't elect to have the operation earlier. It is a great relief to know that the source of the cancer has been removed. The quality of life after 2 months is better than I had feared. Obviously, one person's experience is not indicative for everyone, but after two months it is reassuring to have few urinary problems. There is a danger of extensive treatment should the cancer spread outside the prostate itself and in my case it was very close to the boundary. I am very happy to know that the prostate was removed successfully and am very happy to recommend Mr Vasdev for his excellent advice and for conducting the operation. He has been highly professional and helpful throughout the whole process and I can't recommend him highly enough.
