I am an Osteopath who refers my patients to Mr Patel whenever his consultancy is needed. I can highly recommend Mr Patel to my patients for his calm, approachable and informative manner. Every patient I refer reports they have felt they have been listened to and that they have received the best care, diagnosis and advice possible for their condition.

The reason I refer patients to Nitin is not only his skill as a surgeon, it’smy trust that he will only operate if this is the patients best option. The skill of when not to operate I value highly for my patients and combining this with his technical knowledge and skill make him one of 2 spinal Surgeons that I use and recommend in the South-West. Mr Patel and the complementary practice I run have shared many patients over the years. Nitin has been a good ear for when we are unsure of the best referral pathway for a patient and patients have been delighted that a swift referral to a trusted colleague can be arranged and to date all the patients have done well. I always choose to refer to Nitin in spinal neurology cases.

Always very professional, personable and helpful as a colleague, explaining well what is going on with each individual patient and how best to proceed with treatment plans. The feedback from patients is always exceptional and aftercare second to none until suitable discharge time. Even after discharge Mr Patel's care continues should any further situations arise. Would always highly recommend as a consultant and surgeon. Highly value his opinions.

I've always found him very professional and an excellent surgeon. I am more than happy to refer patients to him and I have not received any negative feedback from any one I've referred, they have all been happy with the service and care provided and will continue to refer with confidence in Mr Patel.

Mr Patel was friendly, explained my MRI scan clearly and in detail, and was clear about the options. He was reassuring about the surgery, and when it came to my hospital admission for the surgery he put me at ease. He came to see me after the surgery and explained what he had done to fix my spine.

Mr Patel is a true professional, a gentleman and extremely experienced and proficient in his field. He is superbly calm and reassuring at all times and his manner gives confidence which is so important when you are going through worrying health issues. I can not fault the service I have had from Mr Patel directly at any stage in the last 18 months that I have been under his care. I recommend him highly.

I found Mr Patel to be very personable, efficient and practical in his approach and advice. Critically whilst a surgeon, his approach appears to be based on remedies which avoid surgery first and put surgery based options as a last resort.

what a lovely person, every thing was explained to me and I was given a choice of routes to take and when I'd made my decision it was quickly followed by an appointment. After being let down by my GP it was lovely to have someone who had an understanding of my pain and explained what was causing it so well.
