Professor Omar Faiz is a renowned and respected Consultant General Surgeon specialising in colorectal surgery and inflammatory bowel disease. The talented surgeon has an NHS post at London North West University Healthcare along with private practice with HCA Healthcare at The Princess Grace Hospital and The Lister Hospital. additionally, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial Collge. Professor Faiz helps clients suffering from a variety of conditions including haemorrhoids, anal fissures, diverticular disease and colorectal cancer, along with minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery
After graduating with a Medical Degree he completed his specialist training across London and South East England, along with a fellowship at St. Marks Hospital in Harrow and a specialist colorectal fellowship in Europe. Following this, he was appointed Consultant and became Director of Research at St Mark's Hospital. He remains heavily active in current research along with supervising PhD and MD students. Throughout his career, he has published numerous scientific journals, book chapters and medical textbooks. He was appointed as Chairman of the association of Colproctologsits of Great Britain and Ireland Inflammatory Bowel Disease Committee and is an advisor to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
