Mr Paul Cannon is a General Opthalmologist with special interests in oculoplastics, orbital, nasolacrimal, cataract and eyelid surgery. He graduated from University College Galway to obtain his medical degree and was presented with the gold medal in Opthamology. He went on to be selected to complete two presitigious Fellowships in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Naso-lacrimal surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia and the Royal Manchester Eye Hospital, Manchester, respectively.

In 2009, Mr Cannon became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He also has Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland following an accreditation he was awarded for General Professional Training in Internal Medicine.

Mr Cannon treats patients with a broad range of eye problems, including cataracts, glaucoma, or eyelid conditions with or without aesthetic concerns. He manages both the medical and surgical aspects of ophthalmic conditions, as well as children with eyelid or orbital problems. Mr Cannon's area of special interest covers thyroid eye disease, watery eyes, lax eyelids, droopy eyelids, eyelid tumours and oculoplastic aesthetics.
