I am extremely impressed with the results of my surgery with Professor Chatrath. Throughout the process, Prof. Chatrath was very knowledgeable and informative. He was very kind and thorough, and took the time to reassure any questions or worries I had before the procedure. For context: In November 2022, I had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty performed by Professor Chatrath and I am absolutely amazed at the results. My breathing is so much better now and I absolutely love the shape of my nose now! At first, I was nervous to have the surgery as I have Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Syndrome and more chronic illnesses. However, I am so glad I did as it completely changed my life. I chose to see Prof. Chatrath privately after I was told by multiple NHS surgeons that my deviated septum was ‘not that bad’ and doesn’t require surgery, I was so lucky to finally have an outstanding surgeon who actually listened to my problems and agreed the surgery may help. Prof. Chatrath was very patient and thorough, he listened to all of my issues before talking through my options. After my surgery, Prof. Chatrath explained my septum was actually extremely deviated which was causing me to have issues breathing. I would highly recommend as I am so pleased with my results and the whole process!

Title: A Life-Changing Experience with Professor Paul Chatrath Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) My journey to find a cure for my nasal breathing difficulties was long and arduous, spanning 15 grueling years and involving multiple unsuccessful surgeries. After countless visits to various specialists and two failed attempts at septoplasty, rhinoplasty, and turbine reduction, my hopes were dwindling, and my discomfort was escalating. The surgeries did not only fail to ameliorate my symptoms but seemed to exacerbate my breathing problems, casting a shadow of despair and frustration over my life. That was until I met Professor Paul Chatrath, an expert ENT specialist whose knowledge, professionalism, and proficiency utterly transformed my life. From the outset, Professor Chatrath differentiated himself with his empathetic approach and in-depth understanding of nasal problems. While previous doctors had been unable to diagnose my issue, he pinpointed the root cause with remarkable precision - an internal nasal valve collapse. This condition, often overlooked, was the culprit behind my years of distress and hardship, an invisible wall obstructing my airways. Professor Chatrath, staying at the forefront of medical developments in the UK, suggested the use of LATERA nasal implant and Internasal Z-plasty. This procedure was a far cry from the invasive and perilous surgeries I had previously undergone and held the risk of Empty Nose Syndrome. These non-invasive, state-of-the-art treatments represented a beacon of hope and a promise of a life unburdened by constant breathing difficulties. The surgeries were executed seamlessly, and recovery time was astonishingly brief. Thanks to Professor Chatrath's skill and the innovative LATERA technique, my years of struggling to breathe have finally come to an end. I am now able to take in deep, satisfying breaths through my nose, something that I had almost forgotten was possible. In retrospect, I wish I had found Professor Chatrath 15 years ago. His expertise and up-to-date knowledge could have saved me from the pain and complications of the previous surgeries. But I am forever grateful for finally discovering him and for his life-altering help. He is not just an exceptional medical professional, but also a compassionate human being who genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. To anyone struggling with persistent nasal issues, I cannot recommend Professor Paul Chatrath highly enough. His deep understanding, innovative solutions, and patient-centric approach make him an extraordinary ENT specialist and a true savior for patients like myself. Thanks to him, I am finally breathing easy.

Undergoing a rhinoplasty (or nose job) is a big decision for most people, as it potentially involves a change to a key part of your overall appearance and character. It is something not to go into lightly and you should do as much research on the procedure as you can. There are lots of considerations, including what you would like to achieve (eg. nasal tip, dorsum, nasal base etc), how it will be done (eg. open, closed) and to what extent you would like to change your nose. This is where the majority of the time will be spent, in order to ensure as good preoperative planning as possible. A brief psychological review is also likely, and image manipulation can also be useful in some cases. Please click on the link for more information.

ClarifixTM cryotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment option for patients with a runny nose. It involves freezing the nerve endings at the back of the nose under local or general anaesthetic, with few if any side effects, and a good chance of improvement of your symptoms. It is important to be properly investigated to rule out or fully treat any allergies that you might have, and to manage any other coexistent conditions such as a deviated nasal septum. If you have been struggling with a very runny nose and have tried all other medical options available, it might be worth considering this.
