About

Mr Paul Moxey is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at St George's University Hospitals NHS Trust and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is responsible for the teaching and training of St George's University medical students and junior doctors within the vascular unit at St George's Hospital and is an honorary senior lecturer at St George's University of London. In 2019 Paul was appointed as Care Group Lead for Vascular Surgery at St George's Hospital.

Pauls practice encompasses all aspects of vascular surgery from varicose veins to carotid disease, but he has a particular focus on peripheral vascular disease. He has an interest in keyhole angioplasty techniques for opening arteries and 'hybrid' techniques that combine keyhole and open surgery to restore blood flow. Paul specialises in general vascular surgery including carotid artery disease and aneurysms. He has a particular interest in lower limb peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot problems and varicose veins. He prefers to use minimally invasive techniques to treat these conditions including angioplasty, endovenous laser, radiofrequency ablation, ClariVein® mechanical sclerotherapy and the latest VenaSeal™ glue technology.

An excellent overall experience and Mr Moxey was both courteous and friendly explaining all the procedure that was to be performed. The procedure was a great success for which I am very grateful. However, I am not sure that I will ever be a leg model for Vogue - not due to the procedure but my own odd shaped legs!! Many thanks

Explanation

From my initial consultation to my surgery, I felt very confident with my choice of surgeon. Everything was explained clearly and simply, pros and cons. I was also guided on the several surgical procedure options available to me. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Moxey to anyone who is nervous or unsure of what surgery may achieve. He is reassuring and professional at every level, from the desk to the operating theatre. He also has a great sense of humour which is a bonus ! Very happy with my experience. My recovery is down to my body, We're all different in the time we take to heal. I'm just doing everything as advised in the general information pack I was given. Read it and heed it. Grateful for his expertise and kind manner.
