Mr Periyathambi Jambulingam is a Consultant General Surgeon in the UK.
Mr Jambulingam qualified in 1991 and completed his higher surgical training in the West Midlands, including his certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
Now with extensive bariatric surgery training and experience, Mr Jambulingam has been the Consultant General Surgeon at Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust since 2007. He spent a year in the Liver Transplantation Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, where he passed the intercollegiate specialty examination in 2004 and obtained the CCST.
Mr Jambulingam delivers bariatric surgical services at the Obesity Centre for research at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital . His specialist interest is oesophago-gastric surgery which includes the management of acid reflux disease in the form of laparoscopic hiatus hernia repair, fundoplication, giant hiatus hernia repair and achalasia cardia. He has also visited the Cancer Institute Hospital and the National Cancer centre in Tokyo.
