Mr. Peter Andrews has over 20 years experience in rhinoplasty surgery. He trained at UCH and Middlesex Medical School and qualified in 1993. He received his Specialist Higher Surgical Training in the North Thames Deanery which included the RNTNE Hospital. He is a Fellow of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) and was awarded the EAFPS Joseph Travelling Fellowship in 2005 and trained and worked at the Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam for 6 months during this time. He was appointed to the RNTNEH in 2005.
Mr. Andrews' surgical areas of interest include nasal plastic surgery, nasal airway reconstruction, facial reanimation surgery and anterior skull base surgery including complex frontal sinus surgery.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Andrews' is active in research, his research interests include nasal airflow reconstruction, facial reanimation surgery and surgical treatments for the correction of loss of smell. He has recently patented a new medical device which measures and diagnoses nasal disease, in collaboration with the biomedical engineering department at UCL.
He has published extensively on rhinology and facial plastic surgery with over 60 peer reviewed publications and multiple book chapters. He has represented rhinology, facial plastic reconstructive surgery and skull base surgery as a council member for respectively the British Rhinology Society, British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and the British Skull Base Society.
