Mr Philip Robarts is a consultant gynaecologist who practices general gynaecology at Baddow Hospital in Chelmsford.
Mr Robarts qualified in 1975 and soon became a Senior Registrar at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and Addenbrookes Hospital where he held Honorary Lecturer Status. Mr Robarts became the Director of Clinical Studies for Undergraduate students from the Cambridge University Medical School. He subsequently became Clinical Director of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Directorate.
Mr Robarts has pioneered several procedures in the United Kingdom including the “Adiana” hysteroscopic sterilisation and the single incision urethral sling procedure for stress incontinence. In 2008 he was awarded the Barker Brettel Award for Medical Technology and devised a new surgical instrument to aid easier removal of uterine polyps.
