Mr Raj Nigam completed his undergraduate studies in medicine in 1987 and then went on to specialise as a urological surgeon. He has been a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford for over 10 years, where he is also the Clinical Director of Urology.
Raj has a specialist interest in prostate cancer, in particular high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) as a treatment, laser prostatectomy, andrology, male infertility (HFEA accredited), and erectile dysfunction. He also deals with Peyronie's disease with all the surgical and minimally invasive treatments offered. Additionally, he deals with general urological pathologies such as benign prostate problems, incontinence, stone disease and bladder symptoms.
Raj is the regional lead in Penile Cancer for Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. He is also a national HIFU trainer and is a referee for the British Journal of Urology.
