Mr Rajiv Pathak graduated from the University of Calcutta, India in 1996 and continued his early surgical training in India where he obtained his MS before moving to the UK in 1996.
Since arriving in the UK, Mr Pathak continued his surgical training within hospitals in the West Midlands, Leicester, and London. Mr Pathak decided to specialise in vascular surgery and completed the majority of his training at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He was fortunate to study under the world-renowned Professor George Hamilton. Mr Pathak was offered and accepted a one-year Endovascular Fellowship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia where he was able to hone his non-invasive venous techniques.
In 2006, Mr Pathak began working as a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon and began auditing his endovascular work. He has been performing minimally-invasive treatments for venous diseases including laser therapy, radiofrequency treatment and schlerotherapies for over seven years and is considered to be one of the most experienced surgeons in the Midlands in his field.
