About

Mr Ramesh Chennagiri is a consultant in trauma and orthopaedics at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, with a special interest in wrist and hand surgery. Mr Chennagiri also runs clinics and operates at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe Hospital.

Mr Chennagiri commenced his orthopaedic training in India, obtaining a post-graduate degree. After passing the FRCS (Surgery in General) examination, Mr Chennagiri underwent Higher Specialist Training as a Specialist Registrar in trauma and orthopaedics in Oxford Deanery. He developed an interest in wrist and hand surgery and worked with hand surgeons in Oxford and Reading. Mr Chennagiri obtained the FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2008. He undertook further training in various aspects of wrist and hand surgery as a clinical fellow at Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby. During his fellowship, Mr Chennagiri completed the Diploma in Hand Surgery run jointly by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the University of Manchester.

Mr Chennagiri also co-authored a book chapter on the role of arthroscopy in distal radius fractures. He has presented papers in national and international meetings and published articles in orthopaedic and hand surgery journals.
