Mr Ravi Shanker is currently Lead Physiotherapist at Thames River Physiotherapy based in London, UK. He graduated with a BSc from the Oxford College of Physiotherapy in 2002, before going on to complete a masters degree in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University. Having now been qualified for over a decade, Mr Shanker has accumulated a huge amount of experience across a range of clinical environments, including the NHS, the armed forces, and private healthcare settings.
During his time working at the highly revered BMI Clementine Churchill Hospital in London, Mr Shanker had the opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected orthopaedic consultants in the nation. He has also worked for some of London's elite sporting organisations as a pitchside physiotherapist. Mr Shanker has a specialist interest in shoulder injuries and back pain and is fully able to incorporate manual therapy, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, and acupuncture into his treatment regimes.
In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities like running, canyoning, coasteering, Scooba diving, water rappelling, and football.
