About

Mr Anil Reddy is a leading Consultant General, Colorectal & Pelvic floor Surgeon in the UK with a special interest in Lower Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgery and pelvic floor disorders. He specializes in Robotic, Laparoscopic and Single incision laparoscopic surgery.

He currently holds an NHS post at James Cook Teaching Hospital in Middlesborough along with his private role at Ramsay Healthcare at Tees Valley Hospital. He is an JAG accredited endoscopist and performs gastroscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy.

Mr Reddy completed several research projects including the FAB2 and UC study which were funded by the National FSA agency involving a joint collaboration between Northumberland Health Care NHS Trust, University of Sheffield and University of Newcastle [Research Grant of > 1.2 million pounds]. “The effect of folic acid on biomarkers of colo-rectal cancer risk in patients with inflammatory bowel disease”

He has have been a Chief Investigator as well as Principal surgical co-investigator in multiple national/ multinational studies like the National EMPOWER trial, National ETHOS trial, surgical lead for HALT – IT study, SAFARI trial funded by National Institute of Health and Research, Robotic PROMS study etc
