Rhodri Daniel was appointed as Consultant Ophthalmologist to the Primary Care and Accident and Emergency service of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust in January 1993.
Whilst completing his training in Opthalmology at Moorfields City Road he obtained the status of Fellow to the Primary care Clinic which was a new and innovative method of delivering high volume new patient services which received commendation from Sir Bernard Tomlinson when he was considering Moorfields for NHS Trust Status.
He has an interest in Medico-legal practice and is a tier 1 trained expert witness dealing with all aspects of Medicolegal practice in relation to general ophthalmology with an approximately thirty percent defence, thirty percent claimant and forty percent joint instruction or alternative dispute resolution profile.
