Mr Richard Caesar is a Consultant Oculoplastic and Opthalmic Surgeon and is an expert withness for opthalmic medico-legal cases. He obtained his degree from both Cambridge University and Charing Cross and Westminster Medical Schools. He then went on to study ophthalmic surgery in Oxford before specialising in oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery. He was later selected to complete a prestigious Fellowship in Oxford, and a further Fellowship in Melbourne, Australia.
Mr Caesar was appointed as an NHS Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon to the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust in September 2003 and was recently appointed Clinical Director of the Cheltenham Eye Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a founder member of the British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society.
