Richard is an experienced Osteopath based in London. He has over 35 years' experience in his field. Richard graduated from the from the British School of Osteopathy in 1979 and took up a position as an assistant in Cumberland Mansions soon after qualifying. In 1996 he took over the running of the practice and renamed it the Seymour Practice. He has worked relentlessly since to expand the range of therapies available, building on the existing osteopathic principles that had been developed over a 79 year period at Cumberland Mansions. He also introduced the Osteopathic Emergency Service which is providing emergency osteopathic cover for London and the Home Counties.
Though his practice is based on classical osteopathic methodology and covers all the main musculo-skeletal problems and injuries he has also developed a specialism in cervical (neck) and upper dorsal (upper back) problems and injuries. Many of these symptoms are caused by sitting for long hours in front of computers combined with a lack of exercise, Early intervention and treatment as well as some simple lifestyle changes can drastically improve these symptoms.
Richard believes that most of the symptoms his patients experience can be resolved without resorting to intervention by surgery.
