London's go-to foot man! I met at least 4 people who recommended Sam before I had my consultation and subsequent operation, which went amazingly smoothly and well.
Would go back, but I hope I won't have to!
Four years ago when I became Mr Singh's patient I could barely walk and was in significant constant pain. Thanks to the amazing work Mr Singh did I am now completely pain free and have recently qualified as a yoga teacher. I think about Mr Singh every day because I am so grateful for the gift he has given me. As my doctor he was kind, knowledgable, supportive and totally brilliant. I cannot thank thank him enough.
Dr Singh was amazing throughout, from consultation to post Op. My ankle problems are now a thing of the past.
Three years ago I broke my foot across the top .It was very painful to walk and as I teach aerobics I could not work.Mr Sing assured me he could operate and mend it.i was very worried but he was very easy to deal with and made me feel at ease.He fused the break and since that day I have had no pain or problems whatsoever .I am back doing my aerobics and would recommend Mr Sing most highly.
Dr Sam Singh operated for heel spurs on both my achilles in October 2016. Though it took a while for the recovery, thanks to his excellent work and after-care I've been able to get back to ultra-running. Since May I’ve completed a number of races in 2017 including ones with substantial vertical climb - notably the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc with 10,000m of vert over 166km - and last weekend a pretty brutal 246km race in Greece, the Spartathlon. Looking forward to next season.
very professional approach, with clear updates on my condition. resulting surgery excellent and making a full recovery.
If you are in need of an excellent foot and ankle surgeon, go and see Mr Sam Singh. The surgery he performed on my ankle has been tremendously successful and from barely being able to bear weight on my ankle or walk without dreadful pain I have become totally pain free. I was not only suffering from a very painful ankle, but also from the after effects of very poor care from other orthopaedic surgeons elsewhere. Mr Singh also very successfully helped me to deal with this trauma as well, with his sense of humour, empathetic understanding of my experience and outstanding communication skills. Personally I am so happy and relieved that I found Mr Singh and am on the road to what I believe will be an excellent recovery because of him. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Mr Sam Singh.
Great experience. My second heel decompression op with Mr Singh. Everything went smoothly and he was very good about minor post surgery wound issues.
Thanks again Sam
I was operated on using keyhole surgery, for a Arthroscopic Ankle Fusion by Mr Sam Singh, Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon.on the 6th May 2017. The operation was a complete success & I can now walk again completely pain free. Throughout the prior consultation process meetings, total dedicated & caring professionalism was displayed. I am truly grateful to Mr Singh for his exceptional skills in carrying out this very difficult operation. He has given me back my life.
Mr Singh did an ankle ligament reconstruction for me on a complicated set of injuries. 5 months later i am vey happy to report a huge improvement and recovery, nearly back to normal. I sought him out as a reputed leading expert and was in no way disappointed. He was also very enjoyable to meet with during the consolations, explaining in detail his thinking.
From the first consultation, to surgery and through rehabilitation, Mr Singh and his team have made the process very straight forward and efficient. The explanations of my diagnosis and subsequent surgical procedures (Subtalar Fusion) were thorough yet easy to follow and the aftercare has got me back on my feet and pain free.
I saw Sam Singh because I had increasing pain and lack of mobility in my right ankle over a 3-4 year period. Cause was deterioration in the cartilage and the onset of significant osteoarthritis. I used to play football and cricket up to my 50th year, I hill walked regularly but with increasing pain.
In January this year I had my right ankle fused by Mr Singh. I was in hospital overnight and managed weight bearing for 3 months in total. 6 weeks not being able to walk without crutches and then 6 weeks walking in an ankle boot. The procedure was not particularly painful and took no pain killers after the second day.
I took the physio advice seriously and exercised from day one. This built up strength. I hired a scooter that enabled me to move around quite freely and fast as an alternative to crutches.
By the beginning of April I was able to walk without the surgical boot. ~That month I walked along the Regents Canal for a couple of miles, Walked an 8 mile coastal walk in Suffolk and at the end of the month a weekend walking in the Peak District including a 12 mile ridge walk. In May I had a 5 day walking week in the Lakes and did some pretty challenging walks. A bit stiff afterwards but most of my body was. The ankle has been fine and gets stronger. I still do regular exercise, cycling regularly and walking distances. I can run a little but not much more than a few yards.
The pain has gone and my mobility much increased.
Mr Singh was extremely supportive throughout and explained the procedures and recovery very well.
I can't recommend Sam Singh enough, from the first consultation with him where he knew exactly what and where the problems with my toe and ankle were, through a first class surgery experience and then finally a fantastic post op consultation process he fully explained every step of the procedure and the end result was exactly what he said it would be. I would highly recommend Sam Singh to anybody who is looking for a Specialist Foot and Ankle Consultant.
Excellent surgeon. Diagnosed and treated me for Morton's Neuroma in my foot, did a fantastic job and have had no problems since. Would highly recommend Mr. Singh.
I cannot thank Mr Singh enough. He did a fantastic job correcting the bunion on my right foot despite having very little bone to work with. This was due to the fact I had had the operation done ten years previously on the NHS, when this type of operation wasn't very advanced. The bunion had returned much worse than it had been initially and I started to experience arthritic pain and swelling. This was preventing me from training, which I have always done 4-5 times a week & was also uncomfortable to walk on.
I had the operation with Mr. Singh in September 2016 and today, 5 months on, I'm back in the gym, running regularly and rarely experience arthritic pain. In addition, my scarring is minimal, my foot FINALLY looks normal and I didn't experience any post-op pain. I would highly recommend Mr. Singh to anyone considering having a bunion operation. Don't think twice, just do it!!!
I had severe arthritis in both big toes for years with limited movement and suffered with continued pain after playing sport. This all ended when I couldn’t battle on anymore and was referred to Sam Singh. He is a true professional and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone experiencing similar problems to mine. It was very soon apparent that he has a fantastic manner and wealth of experience. I felt at ease immediately and knew I would trust him with fixing my feet.
After some xrays he suggested a left and right foot cheilectomy and told me that he could help to improve things dramatically. His support team were excellent and the hospital arrangements made seamlessly. I went home after surgery on 8th December and was working from home the next day with no side effects whatsoever. After two weeks in bandages and following his detailed recovery instructions to the letter I walked out of the follow up appointment on the 21st December in a pair of loosely laced trainers.
After a few sessions of physio I could feel a huge difference in range of motion, I walked 1.5 miles to his offices today, 5 and a bit weeks after surgery – the last time I felt this pain free was ten years ago, my only regret is that I had not met him sooner than I did.
My dealings with Sam Singh were the most pleasant and enjoyable I have ever had with someone in the medical profession.
Mr Singh treated me recently for an ankle problem that had been affecting me for over 18 years. I had been to see various Physio therapists and specialists during those 18 years without a solution. Only when I was referred to Mr Singh by another great consultant, Steven Moto was my problem finally rectified.
Mr Singh operated on September 13th 2016 where he removed some lose bone and shaved off some excess bone from within the ankle joint. After four days I was able to apply my full weight on the ankle without the aid of crutches, after 8 weeks I was able to complete a 4k run without any discomfort.
Throughout the process Mr Singh has been a pleasure to deal with, every appointment has been on time and he made me feel completely at ease on the day of the operation.
I would like to thank Mr Singh for everything he has done, this is truly a life changing result.
I underwent a bilateral Morton's neuroma surgery under the care of Dr Singh in late September 2016. My condition was very advanced and I was coping with daily pain that gradually took over my life. I was delaying the treatment for years as I thought the surgery was my very last resort due to a long recovery time and sometimes an unpredictable outcome. I did one round of cortisone injections that provided limited relief for about 6 months. The longer I waited, the longer I walked in a awkward manner putting strain on my lower back. However, I was finally relieved to meet Dr Singh in person and discuss my condition with him. I chose to see Dr Singh because he is very experienced yet he represents a younger generation of surgeons practicing modern surgical techniques. He actively contributes to medical research and one of his research papers was specifically on the surgical treatment of Morton's neuroma. Having met Dr Singh, I became very confident about having to undergo a surgery and had a great experience. He is very attentive and reassuring in his approach to patients. My recovery was much better compared to what I was expecting and certainly had nothing to do with what I read on the internet (don’t read!). My post-surgical pain was minimal (at least compared to Morton's neuroma pain) and I had very little swelling 2 weeks after the surgery. I can wear any shoes now. And I am currently focused on fixing my lower back that had been strained by my awkward walking for so long due to the neuroma pain. I wish I had done the surgery years ago - thank you Dr Singh!
Very nice and a great professional.
I recommend him for any foot problem.
Mr Singh was wonderful in every aspect. From the initial consultation, to surgery for my subtalar joint fusion, to follow up appointments - he was the best. Informative, reassuring, smart, and kind you would be foolish to choose another surgeon! Eight months after my major foot surgery I feel better than I've ever felt before. Thank you, Mr Singh!
I saw Mr Singh to have a mortons neuroma removed in 2014. The pre-op and post-op care was 5* and this meant that when I had another mortons neuroma this year I had no issues in asking to be referred back to Mr Singh. Once again the care and advice that I was given was 5* and would happily recommend Mr Singh to anyone have any sort of surgery.
This man is a genius. He gave me a brand new ankle by performing three operations in one go. A true professional and absolutely leg-end (pun intended). Without him I'd still be limping and running would be a distant memory; because of him I can run again...!
Mr Singh (Sam) treated my mortons neuroma. It was not something I wanted to have going wrong but he made me feel absolutely relaxed about the whole affair. When I had the surgery he was abundantly warm and explained both the procedure and the outcome in terms I could understand. He is an interesting person with a great manner so if you are looking for a serious doctor - he is it. I would recommend Mr Singh wholeheartedly. Zoe Layden
From the first consultation appointment with Mr. Singh he made me feel 100% confident about my surgery and what was would be involved post-op. Being my first operation there were obvious concerns and apprehensions but after the first session these disappeared and i actually became more excited about the surgery and getting back on the road to recovery. Any questions i had at any stage (pre and post op) he would answer and would always make himself available to support myself. Fantastic Doctor and i would highly recommend his services to anyone who was in need of them. Thank you Mr. Singh.
Mr Sam Singh performed bunion surgery on my two feet at the same time in September 2015. I was cycling after 4 weeks, walking well at 5 weeks and returned to work at 6 weeks. I love walking and running and phased myself back into running 9 weeks after surgery. Currently, May 2016, I am comfortably running my usual 5k twice a week, cycling, horseriding etc. Without this life changing surgery and the wonderful skills of Mr Sam Singh I could hardly walk properly; I couldn’t run any more and it was difficult to cycle. Mr Sam Singh has given me a new lease of life. I'm very grateful.
After years of putting up with painful bunions , I decided to do something about it. A friend of mine recommended that I go and see Sam. She said he was amazing and she was right! From the first meeting with Sam I felt at ease and safe that he would do a great job. Im now 6 months past my first foot operation & 5 weeks for my second & I'm so happy with the way my feet look and feel. Sam is an amazing doctor and I can't thank him enough for looking after me. It's still a long healing process for me , but I dont regret having the operation done & I know if I have any concerns in the future , that Sam will be there to help me. I would recommend him to anyone that I know. He is a brilliant surgeon & a lovely guy. Thank you Sam.
Really happy with the outcome of the operation and my general experience from start to finish. Sam was really open and approachable throughout and we had a really good chat about the history of my ankle injury and the options, which ultimately led to an ankle arthroscopy. Very happy with the outcome from the operation as 6 weeks later after a bit of rehab work I was off running 10k again. Thanks for putting me back together.
As promised i'm writing to let you know how our daughter got on with her firstrace since the surgery in her foot last year.
She ran in the Surrey County Championships yesterday and got a silver medal uwhich was great to receive. She was not happy with the time though! There is no pain at all in her foot and all is well.
Once again we'd like to say thank you for the great work you did and the
God bless and take care.
Dr Singh is a very charming gentlemen, who makes you feel at ease immediately, I have had one operation with him for mortom's neuroma and now plantar fascia, he has treated both successfully. He is an expert in his field.
I was referred to Mr Sam Singh following years of walking around with a damaged ankle caused by juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when I was 5 (I am now 63). I was on constant strong painkillers and periodic steroid injections into the ankle. I have now been back at work almost 6 weeks and I can honestly say that the operation has changed my life! I am now pain free and my walking and stamina is improving weekly. Now that I can walk without pain I realise what a strain it had been before and how miserable it was making me. It’s surprising what you put up with when you think you have no choice. I now walk from Cannon Street station to Broadgate (0.8 mile) every morning and it takes me 20 minutes (unthinkable before the operation). There were times after the operation and during the recovery when I wondered if it had been worth it but that is all forgotten now. I am lucky to have found you and I am so grateful to you.
I can't thank Sam enough for mending my tendon. He has been great with advice, and working with me to avoid surgery (for a few years). When surgery eventually became the best course of action, Sam has really helped me through the recovery process, and always provide help and advice in an easy to understand way.
On operation day, Sam was really good, looking in before the operation to ease any concern I had, and popping in afterwards to check I was OK, and explain in detail, what he had done.
I hope I don't have to see Sam again anytime soon for another injury, but if I do get injured, I will be visiting him
I am 67 and 12 months ago had an ankle fusion op at The London Bridge Hospital under Sam's care.
From the initial consultation to being discharged I can not fault Sam's attention to detail and total professionalism. I was under his care for perhaps 2 years, following alternative treatments, before he suggested I had this operation. He explained the procedure in the fullest detail and the recovery process to put my mind at ease. On the day of the op he rang to suggest I did not come to the London Bridge until later in the day, as my op would be later on - a small example of his thoughtful and caring approach. After the op he rang my wife at 9.30pm, to tell her everything was fine. On follow-up consultations he changed my plaster himself.
The operation has been a complete success and I am walking better than I did 15 years ago. Paul Davy
Sam conducted a Brostrom reconstruction on my right ankle in January 2015 due to damaged ankle ligaments and cartilage problems. I am a keen golfer and was unable to play for six months leading up to the operation and Sam put my mind at rest assuring me it was my best option of getting back playing and saying it was a simple operation that he had done many times. I can’t speak highly enough of the treatment I received throughout the whole procedure from my first meeting with Sam through to the day I had my final check up with him. I was back playing golf in June 2015 and can’t thank Sam enough for getting me back on the golf course. Having any operation is quite nerve racking for most people but the excellent way this was handled by Sam and everyone at London Bridge hospital made the whole experience worthwhile and feel relaxing and built up my hopes. I have no hesitation in providing this feedback and would recommend Sam to anyone I know.
I suffered with severe pain in my left foot for a number of years and as a keen runner and heel wearer found it very uncomfortable. The pains became so uncomfortable that could no longer wear bare feet or flip flops and had to strap my feet when running to avoid the pain.
I had seen private podiatrists and NHS specialists, none of whom identified the pain correctly.
I saw Sam who very quickly identified the problem and suggested surgery on my foot to remove a
I had the operation in November 2015 and in January 2016 I ran my quickest 10k race - so was so happy with the result and my recovery has been fantastic.
Sam was fantastic, before, during and after my surgery - I am a big fan!
I was suffering from debilitating achilles heel pain for over a year and had three consultants / physiotherapists all given up hope helping my condition. In my first visit to Dr Singh, he correctly diagnosed my problem, haglund's deformity, and performed the operation a month later. Before and after the surgery, he was available to answer all my questions & concerns and made sure my recovery was all going according to plan.
In the years since the operation, I've gone on to compete muay thai in the professional division and run several marathons (and hopefully many more to come), all with a healthy achilles heel. I am truly grateful to Dr Singh for helping me and changing my life around!
