After a fall which resulted in a broken upper arm, I visited Mr Vollans on several occasions following a recommendation from a consultant colleague of his. Mr Vollans was very professional at all times in his treatment of me and my condition. He was also very knowledgeable and decisive which instilled me with confidence. My trust in his advice is now paying dividends as I have not required any surgery and my bones are in alignment and are starting to heal. He was also able to recommend an experienced specialist physiotherapist who is now helping me to regain movement in my arm. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Vollans and feel I have a special insight into his qualities as a doctor after having spent 42 years as a qualified nurse and also having had several spells of time as a patient in hospital myself in the past.

Sam has given me every confidence in his ability to do the correct procedure for my situation. He is very welcoming and very professional. He didn't make me feel pressured or uncomfortable at any time. I felt he was very honest in what could be done and not. He left it up to me to decide if I wanted to have any procedure done and not pressured into having anything done that was not needed or unnecessary.
