About

Mr Singh is a trauma and orthopadedic consulant surgeon who focuses on the treatment of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He is based in Bedford and Milton Keynes and provides specialist assessment and treatment of upper limb disorders. He provides a ''one stop shoulder ultrasound'' and ''one stop carpal tunnel clinic'' where diagnosis can be made and confirmed on the 1st visit saving time for patients in the treatment pathway. He considers non surgical treatment first and in over 90% of cases, patients will not require surgery. When surgery is required Arthroscopic and accelerated rehabilitation techniques are used where possible to promote faster recovery and reduced time off work and sports. Whatever the diagnosis and treatment plan the rehabilitation solution will be tailored to your work and sports requirements. His surgery works closely with physiotherapists and hand therapists to aid rehabilitation.

I was first referred to Mr Singh five years ago and he advised an alternative route to surgery which would delay the procedure that I knew eventually I would need. That was ideal for me. He thoroughly explained everything to me and I knew what the procedure would involve. When I knew it was time for me to have that procedure Mr Singh was the only one that I felt that I had the confidence to trust with my hand - I couldn't risk having a problem with such an important limb! Mr Singh is friendly and puts you at ease and I'm pleased to say the surgery has been a success with very little scarring to show for it. Thank you again.

From meeting Sameer Singh until after surgery I felt that I was in safe hands. Thoughout, the consultation, tests and procedure was faultless and the post procedure consultation proved a surgical sucess! I apprecieated that both my husband and I were given as much detail as we required and were fully informed every step of the way. Now pain free, hardly a scar to see. Mr Singh was at all times proffessional, informative, empathetic and has a really calming nature.. I would highly recomend him to anyone with carpal tunnel symptoms.

I researched local hand surgeons when in excrutiating pain with what I suspected was carpal tunnel symptoms, after much consideration took the decision to consult with Mr Sameer Singh. From my first meeting to discuss my symptoms of pain, through to nerve tests and then consultation of the results, Mr Singh was very clear about all the possible options available and the likely outcomes of each and put me totally at ease. Pre surgery and post surgery, I felt confident, safe and secure knowing that I was under his care. He was empathetic, honest and open to hear my needs as his patient ...and as important for me, he included my husband at every point of decision making and gave him full understanding of the aftercare requirements that would be needed at home after surgery. Highly Recommend....... I certainly made the correct choice!.

Mr Singh has been our clinic ‘Go too’ specialist for all things upper limb and general orthopaedic matters for many years. A highly respected colleague, his knowledge and no-nonsense up to date management has always been key for us in helping our patients achieve the best outcome. All of our patients who have been seen by his comment on his clinical and consultation skills, being made to feel at ease whilst receiving best practice sensible and cutting edge advice on the management of their conditions. This is a skill that not all possess! As a practising physiotherapist locally, it is key to have a highly trusted professional colleague who is a real team player and always places the patient's needs at the top of the list. Communication between us as clinicians is always crystal clear, and he strives hard to make sure the patients have no confusion in their management plan. This process always allows much better compliance across the board. We regularly monitor our outcomes and reflect on the management of referrals and this is simply good practice done well. If I ever need family or personal orthopaedic advice he is always on the top of my list of people to call! Many thanks as always Sameer.

I saw Mr. Singh on three occasions, following a fall on my shoulder. Mr. Singh put me at my ease immediately and explained in great detail what had happened to my shoulder. He has an excellent manner and is very personable. Fortunately, following a scan, Mr. Singh did not have to operate. He gave me detailed advice how I should maintain movement to my shoulder, which included physiotherapy. ( I had been attending Mr. Philip Duffell’s physiotherapy Centre over the years) and Mr. Singh knew Philip. After my fall, I was feeling rather down but after seeing Mr. Singh, I felt uplifted which was due to his very kind manner and positivity towards my recovery.

Sameer took the time to understand my particular context and therefore the impact of my injury to me rather than just the injury in isolation. He made himself available to support through the episode and was very friendly, communicated clearly with me in non-technical terms. And put me at ease whilst explaining all possibilities. Would not hesitate to use his services again.
