Ear Nose & Throat Surgery
Mr Shahz Ahmed is a Consultant Rhinologist and Skull Base Surgeon at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust since 2010. He undertook advanced training in sinus and nasal surgery in South Africa, America, Germany and Switzerland, and then spent a year on an advanced rhinology fellowship at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.
Mr Ahmed is one of the UK's leading rhinologists and is specialised in dealing with all aspects of advanced sinus surgery and nasal surgery for both function and cosmesis including rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty and revision surgery. He also sees patients who do not need surgery and also runs a nasal allergy service offering desensitisation in selected patients.
A keen advocate of teaching and continuously enhancing one's expertise, Mr Ahmed is a regularly faculty member on courses and conferences on facial plastics, rhinology, anterior skull base and sinus surgery in the UK and abroad. He has published widely on various subjects of otolaryngology, but has now focussed his work on rhinological surgery.
