Mr Shane Duffy is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in London, UK. He qualified with his primary medical degree from the University of London, where he trained at the prestigious Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School. He now leads the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Surgical Training in Austere Environments course, which is a course designed for all UK trauma doctors, and is also an adviser to the Secretary of State for Health. He is also the Clinical director for MedNav, a charity focusing on making childbirth safe in even the poorest and most remote places in the world.
Mr Duffy's specialist areas of interest include female pelvic floor dysfunction, perianal trauma, complex surgery in pregnancy, and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. He is an expert in a range of both obstetric and gynaecological conditions, and is well equipped to offer guidance and treatment from the very start of pregnancy all the way through to the delivery.
