I had a very positive experience when I was referred to Mr Woodruff in December 2023. He had an excellent bedside manner and listened carefully to my symptoms and concerns. He offered a treatment option in clinic which has resolved my symptoms to date. He also organised an investigation and a follow up appointment which all went smoothly. He is a first-class ophthalmologist and I would recommend him without reservation.

Having a skin graft on the eye you don’t know what progress is normal. Mr Woodruff was reassuring every step of the way even making time to see me when I was concerned about it. Everything he did and said I had total confidence in and I am grateful for his treatment.

I have been, and continue to be, very glad to have chosen Mr Woodruff to deal with a BCC, performing a Mohs incision on my left lower eye-lid. Mr Woodruff has always taken time to explain options and risks in detail, reassuring me at every stage. Throughout the time from diagnosis to the final consultation, I have felt in the very best hands. He has an exceptionally good 'bedside manner' (also important towards an outpatient like me). Even during the COVID-19 lockdown conditions, appointments were held punctually, and I had never had any reason to be nervous.

Professional and friendly. Everything was explained meticulously, which made it very easy to make the decision to proceed with the treatment. Mr Simon Woodruff is an exemplary practitioner, that I can highly recommend.

Mr Woodruff's calm and professional manner in my consultation was carried through into the operating theatre, making a somewhat scary procedure less so. Excellent aftercare too.

I was nervous on my first visit to Mr Woodruff as I had skin cancer that was as close to my eye as it could be without being in my eye. He immediately put me at ease as he explained what needed to be done and arranged for me to go back to have it removed. I went back with full confidence and Mr Woodruff removed the cancerous skin and fully explained what I needed to do to help the wound heal. It is hardly noticeable now and healed so well after following his instructions that I am very grateful to him for seeing me.
