Mr Srinivasan Subramaniam is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Sherwood Forest Hospitals Nottinghamshire, BMI The Park Hospital Nottingham, Ramsay Woodthorpe Hospital Nottingham and The Spire Hospital Nottingham. He has a special interest in complex cataract surgery and laser eye surgery. He has trained extensively in the fields of cataract and refractive surgery including the use of laser treatments. Mr Subramaniam has always been an early adopter of innovative technologies in his practice and uses various novel lenses such as multifocal lenses, trifocal lenses and accommodative lenses to treat cataract and refractive surgical disorders.
Mr Subramaniam has passed the assessment of Competence in Laser Refractive Surgery conducted by The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (Mr Subramaniam is now an assessor for this exam).
Mr Subramaniam routinely performs LASIK and LASEK procedures and trains junior doctors in ophthalmology. He has also been a member of the Microsurgical Training Faculty of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for over 10 years. Furthermore, Mr Subramaniam has published academic papers in several peer reviewed journals.
