Mr Weitzel completed his primary medical degree at the Medical School of the Albert-Ludwigs University in Germany. After qualifying he completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in London and Norwich. He then undertook further postgraduate fellowships and placements at prestigious orthopaedic surgery centres in the UK, including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. I meet Mr Weizel couple of years back regarding my heel pain. He was very approachable explained to me what might have happened to my heel he was very calm and reassuring which made me so relax,also explained about things he would do to help me elevate my pain He referred me for steroids injections on my heel which didn’t help that much. He was so concerned about my pain explained to me that surgery will be the best option. I was placed on the waiting list. Had my surgery saw him after two weeks. I am very pleased with my journey with Mr Weitzel.

I've met Mr Weitzel a few times; once in NHS Lewisham Hospital and the rest at Blackheath Private Hospital and during my visits, Mr Weitzel was kind, reassuring, and explained fully about the procedure I would be having. He didn't just explain in Consultant terms though, he explained in a way, which was easily understood. On the day of my bunion corrective surgery, I was nervous, and he came in to see me, explained what he would do, explained the recovery and was happy! When someone is standing in front of you with a big smile on their face, it's hard to continue to feel scared - You smile back! During my after care, again he was great! He gave great advice and instructions to ensure that I had a positive recovery outcome. I had my last visit last week with Mr Weitzel and I was so appreciative of the care I received from him. I'm in my early 40's and the pain I was experiencing in my foot, prior to the surgery, was not nice at all. I was experiencing swelling, shooting pains and discomfort everyday! So to have received this surgery, makes me grateful and excited to get back to doing the things that I used to be able to do. I'd like to specially thank Mr Weitzel for giving me a new lease of life, in a sense. I'm very grateful.

I have met Mr Weitzel a few years ago, when he operated my left foot. I was so happy with the results that specifically looked for him when needed a corrective surgery on my right foot. Mr Weizel is very approachable and the most competent orthopedic surgeon that I have met! I am very happy with the results of my both surgeries.
