Mr Stephen Davies achieved his qualification in Dentistry at Manchester University in 1971. He then established the High Lane practice in 1974. He also completed a Master’s degree in 1994 and was awarded for his dissertation based on looking at patterns of splint wear in treating temporomandibular disorders. He was presented with the Alan Hilton Memorial Medal for Research by the Manchester Medical Society.  

Mr Davies has successfully published more than 50 articles, and was the co-author for the ‘Temporomandibular Disorders: A Clinical Approach’ publication and the main author for ‘A Clinical Guide to Occlusion’ publication.

He had studied temporomandibular disorders and occlusion both nationally and internationally, and in 1986 he became a part of the Temporomandibular Disorders clinic at the Manchester Dental School. He is currently the Lead Clinician since January 2001.

Mr Davies also lectures at Manchester University and teaches at the FGDP at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. He is also on the specialist list for Restorative Dentistry on the General Dental Council. He has accepted several patients dealing with temporomandibular and occlusal difficulties. This involves restoring teeth that are damaged, diseased or injured back to its normal function. This includes using root canal treatment, gums, crowns, bridges, and using dental implants.
