Mr Steve Millington is an experienced consultant orthopaedic & trauma surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee replacements as well as sports injuries affecting the knee and the management of broken bones. He is appointed as consultant at Barts Health NHS Trust and he works at the Royal London Hospital and Newham University Hospital, where he is the clinical lead for the trauma & orthopaedic department.

Mr Millington provides specialist care in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery including cartilage repair, transplantation and ligament reconstruction, musculoskeletal tumour surgery and general orthopaedic trauma. Having been a competitive rugby player at elite level, Mr Millington understands the needs that both sportsmen and women have, alongside their desire to achieve the best outcome to continue pursuing their sporting activities.

He has broad international experience, having completed his PhD and several prestigious specialist fellowships at leading centres in the UK, USA, Austria and Australia.

Mr Millington also speaks German fluently and is happy to provide services in German when necessary.
