Mr Shahzad was very welcoming on the first consultation meeting. Clearly a highly experienced, knowledgeable and very easily understood consultant who painstakingly took the time to explain the procedure I was undergo and keen to answer any questions no matter how repetitive they may have sounded to him. A very kind and pleasant manner he quickly put me at ease with both a friendly, respectful nature. On the day of the procedure Mr Shahzad was quick during his rounds to allay any sense of pre-op anxiety and during the procedure he was very explanatory throughout maintaining a very encouraging dialogue with me.

I’m really pleased with the whole process from the first appointment to the post op follow up. Mr Shazad is the perfect mix of professional medic and a great guy. Good “bedside manner” very patient when explaining procedures etc, and a very good communicator. Highly recommended the Mr Shazad.

Mr Shahzad suggested two options for treatment of my enlarged prostate. I chose the rezum steam treatment as it is less invasive. Mr Shahzad suggested that the chances of a successful result were about 80%. I was very pleased to find that within 3 weeks of the procedure there was a noticeable improvement in my bladder function. Two months on, Mr Shahzad says I can expect some further improvement in the coming months, but even without further improvement I am happy with the results and pleased that I underwent the procedure. The catheter came out after 5 days, and thereafter there wasn’t any significant discomfort. As I don’t have private health insurance the most painful aspect was the cost, but I have no regrets about consulting Mr Shahzad.

Mr. Shahzad has an excellent manner and treated me with considered attention and respect. He instilled confidence in me about the treatment and his efforts certainly provided the promised results. I would be very happy to recommend him to my friends and family.

Mr Shahzad has a very calm and reassuring demeanour which puts the patient at ease. He was open to answering any questions and clearly explained next steps, thank you.

Good explanation of the options available and suitability for my circumstances. The Rezum treatment and subsequent recovery was painless and carried out with the minimum of fuss. The catheter, which I had been living with for over a year, was removed two weeks after treatment, and the minor bleeding stopped a further two to three weeks later. The flow at present (two months after treatment) is much better than it has been for maybe 15 or 20 years. I am very pleased with the overall experience.
