Mr Tom McAuliffe is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, currently working at Whipps Cross University Hospital and Holly House Hospital as he has done so for the last 23 years.
He initially qualified at Cambridge University before undertaking his orthopaedic training at the Royal London Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. His academic prowess has been rewarded by his position as a senior lecturer at the latter.
Clinically, Mr. McAuliffe specialises in hip and knee surgery, particularly in a sporting setting. For 20 years, he was an honorary surgeon for a Premier League football club, underlining his lofty reputation in orthopaedics. Moreover, he has been at the forefront of the hip and knee surgery fields with his innovative, minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Mr McAuliffe also devotes time to research in trials of joint replacements and anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. It is clear to see that he is a doctor who not only wants to practice medicine, but further its possibilities.
